Legacy is a collection of 12 original compositions plus my interpretation of Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata. I originally wrote and arranged these songs during the late 1990s and early 2000s. For this release, all of the songs have been re-worked with new arrangements and brand new recordings. These songs have been revived, reimagined, and reinterpretted in a way that better reflects my original vision. I hope you enjoy listening to these songs as much as I enjoyed writing and re-recording them!

My album Legacy was recorded at my home studio using nine of my guitars and my truly amazing sounding Mesa Boogie Mark 5:25 amplifier. Here are the guitars that I used with a listing of the songs they were played on (...and I included the two guitars I bought in Japan after I had already finished recording... they're too good-looking to not be included!)...

I am an instrumental rock guitarist and songwriter from the remote and sleepy Big Island of Hawaii. I grew up in the small town of North Kohala, and I started playing keyboards, bass guitar, and electric guitar when I was 12 years old. As I was growing up, I listened to my parents' record collection that included Jeff Beck, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton & Cream, The Who, Peter Frampton, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, and the Allman Brothers.

As my own tastes developed, I added my list of favorites Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, Metallica, John Petrucci & Dream Theater, Paul Gilbert & Racer X, Yngwie Malmsteen, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Van Halen, and just about any other guitar music I could get my hands on. I had a vibrant tapestry of great guitar players as the backdrop to my formative years as a musician. Upon finishing high school, I went on to study music composition and theory in college, and I earned a BA in Music from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

As a performing musician, I've played guitar in a variety of bands & ensembles over the years, ranging from thrash metal to reggae to big band jazz to contemporary classical to world beat fusion to top 40 rock. I've toured Japan and several European countries as a hired musician. I am an alumnus of the 2014 G4 Experience with Joe Satriani, Paul Gilbert, Andy Timmons, and Mike Keneally and the 2015 Vai Academy with Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, and Sonny Landreth.

As a studio musician, I have contributed guitar work for television and movie soundtracks and for a variety of musical artists. Over the course of many years, I have built up my own home studio where I am able to capture my ideas and collaborate with others -- even at great distances -- via the Internet.

As a songwriter and composer, I have been writing my own material from the earliest days of my musicianship. I learned improvisational skills very early on, and as a consequence I've always felt drawn toward making my own music. Learning formal arranging and composition empowered me to push my songwriting even further.

If you are interested in a musical collaboration or if you'd like me to record guitar tracks for your own songs, please head over to my Facebook page and send me a message. I enjoy working with other musicians and I look forward to hearing from you!
